How does it work?

In order to obtain a license from the state of Minnesota, most cannabis businesses need to show they have a labor peace agreement with a "bona fide labor organization," like Local 49.

When you sign a labor peace agreement with Local 49, we agree not to engage in picketing, work stoppages, or boycotts against your business.

In return, you agree to remain neutral on any effort we make to organize employees and agree to give union representatives reasonable access to employees for organizing purposes. The full terms are outlined in the agreement.

Local 49 makes getting a labor peace agreement easy, and it costs nothing! We've drafted a standard agreement and will send it to you upon request. Entering into the agreement fulfills that licensing requirement from the state.
