The Local 49 Apprenticeship and Training Fund is overseen by a board of trustees made up of both labor and management. Local 49 Health & Welfare Fund

The Operating Engineers Local 49 Health and Welfare Fund is a self funded multi-employer health plan with approximately 38,000 participants. The Fund is governed by a board of trustees made up of both Labor and Management. The Trustees are committed to providing you and your family with the tools, information and programs you need to take control of your health.

Central Pension Fund

The Central Pension Fund (CPF) is a multi-employer pension fund established in 1960 to provide retirement, disability and death benefits to members of, and individuals represented by, the International Union of Operating Engineers. Plan benefits are based upon annual employer contributions for participants which are reported to CPF from employer locations.

CPF is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of employee and participating employer representatives. CPF's responsibilities include servicing participants and employers, supporting the employers and unions by maintaining a pension plan that will attract and retain employees, fulfilling the fund's fiduciary role and ultimately paying pension benefits. Helmets to Hardhats

Helmets to Hardhats is a national, nonprofit program that connects National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military service members with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry. The program is designed to help military service members successfully transition back into civilian life by offering them the means to secure a quality career in the construction industry.

Employers can also take advantage of Helmets to Hardhats. After establishing an account, employers can search and identify highly qualified veterans in the Helmets to Hardhats database.

The program is administered by the Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment, and Veterans Employment and headquartered in Washington, D.C. Direction for management of the center comes from a board of trustees comprised of equal numbers of employer and labor trustees.

Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council

The Minnesota State Building and Construction Trades Council is the advocate voice for unionized construction workers in Minnesota. Seventy thousand members strong, the Minnesota Building Trades has provided leadership and advocacy for construction workers in Minnesota for 70 years.
