Following the changes to Minnesota’s statewide mask requirement late last week Local 49 officers have met and agreed to adjust the mask requirements as follows:
Masks will continue to be required to be worn at Minneapolis union meetings and inside the office space. This ensures Local 49 remains compliant with the City of Minneapolis’s masking requirement, per Emergency Regulation No. 2020-12.
All out-state offices will no longer make wearing masks mandatory for meetings or office space as they are no longer under any mandate to do so. This follows current CDC masking guidelines which state: ”Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. The CDC strongly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated continue to wear face coverings indoors in businesses, public settings, and when around people from other households, as well as outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained.”
